2NE1 Endorses 'adidas Originals'


On March 25, YG Entertainment announced that 2NE1 had signed an official contract with sports apperal brand “adidas Originals” for their own collaboration project, “We Are Originals.” The project will launch in April!
As fans of each other’s works, 2NE1 and Adidas were eager to create an official partnership. According to YG, the relationship dates back to the group’s debut. 2NE1 has often been seen sporting Adidas attire in various appearances and music videos.
Adidas recently released two photos of the girls in a photoshoot for “We Are Originals”, showcasing both a colorful striped look and a simpler black and white look.

Japan Earthquake/Tsunami Relief Song Lyrics - The Official Website of Jackie Chan

Jackie wanted to share the lyrics to the song that he and other singers recorded for the Japan earthquake/tsunami victims. Below you will find the lyrics in Japanese, English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. The song is rearranged from a Japanese poem by the late Miyazawa Kenji.

Jackie Organizes Fundraiser for Japan Victims - The Official Website of Jackie Chan


Jackie has joined forces with several Hong Kong celebrities to organize a fundraising concert in Hong Kong titled "Love Without Borders 3/11 Candelight Gala."  The event, which is expected to feature up to 100 performers, is scheduled for April 1 at Victoria Park in Hong Kong.

Jackie and dozens of Hong Kong singers and actors recorded the theme song for the event on Thursday. The song, entitled "Succumb Not to Sorrow" is based on a Japanese poem.

All proceeds from the concert will go to aid the victims of the March 11 earthquake/tsunami.

Theme Song For Hong Kong's Candle Vigil For Japan Revealed


On April 1st a candlelight vigil will be held in Hong Kong in remembrance of the Japanese disaster along with a fundraiser. The theme song for the event has been released.
Hong Kong's biggest stars have come together to show their support of the victims of Japan's recent earthquake and tsunami. A candlelight vigil wil be held in Hong Kong April first, along with a fundraiser to help raise money for the Japanese relief fund. Jackie Chan will be hosting the event.
The theme song for the event will be titled "Succumb Not to Sorrow". Below is the newly released Japanese version of the song:

Jackie Chan's Well & ALIVE!




News have been circulating that superstar, Jackie Chan's died of heart attack at LA Hospital. This has stirred up a lot of confusion among fans!~However, this was just a hoax that was trending on twitter and other social networks!
He is confirmed to be well and ALIVE according to latest reports.
It all started when "RIP Jackie Chan" was a trending topic on Twitter and so the news spread like a disease and circulated everywhere! It appeared to have stem from a fake website (pastehtml.com) that made it look like 'Yahoo!7News' homepage. Therefore, making the news outbreak more "credible".
Fans can rest assure that he will continue to make great movies!

Tokyo Jihen Will Resume Activities in April

 The promotions of five-piece band Tokyo Jihen came to a halt after drummer Hata Toshiki (34) was arrested in February. Since the incident, Tokyo Jihen has suspended promotional activities and delayed the release of their single “Sora ga Natteiru/Onna no Ko wa Daredemo”, originally scheduled for February 23. Fans will be happy to know that band has announced they will resume promotional activities on April 5.
On the website of the band’s management office, Hata recently issued a statement apologizing to fans and the band saying "I deeply regret the disturbance of my selfish actions" and that he hopes to once again dedicate himself to making music with Tokyo Jihen.
Hata Toshiki was arrested on February 10 on charges of the obstruction of the performance of a police officer. Tokyo police received a call from a woman reporting that she heard a loud band and the window of her bathroom had been broken. An officer was dispatched to the scene where he found Hata and called out to him. The drummer proceeded to hit the officer. Hata was reportedly intoxicated at the time of the incident, and has since been charged with a fine.

Jay Chou's talents are becoming recognized in the Western world. The singer-actor has already appeared in various films such as "Initial D" and "Curse of the Golden Flower", but has only become recognized by mainstream Western audiences for his role in the 2011 superhero movie "The Green Hornet" as Kato. His performance in the movie has made him eligible to be nominated in the MTV Movie Awards.

Jackie Chan & HK Stars Stage Concert For Japan

Jackie Chan and his HK celebrity friends will hold a concert on 1st of April for Japan's relief efforts. They will be singing a song which, they recorded together called, "Succumb Not To Sorrow". This song is inspired by a Japanese poem.
Those confirmed to be attending the concert include Alan Tam, Shirley Kwan, Jin, Hacken Lee, Myolie Wu, Bosco Wong and Michael Tse. The concert will be staged at HK's Victoria Park and all proceeds from the concert will be donated towards the Salvation Army.
Jackie has expressed that he doesn't want those victims to feel 'alone', that there are people out there who are thinking of them and doing what they can to help.

Mix Speaker's, Inc. at AnimeNEXT 2011


Yep, the rumors are true. AnimeNEXT has confirmed that visual kei band Mix Speaker’s, Inc. will be performing at their 2011 convention.
Mix Speaker’s, Inc. will be performing at AnimeNEXT in Somerset, New Jersey this June. It will be the group’s first American performance.
For those unfamiliar with Mix Speaker’s, Inc. they are a visual kei band that formed in early 2007. Band members include lead singers Miki and Yuki, Aya (G), Keiji (G), Seek (B), and S (D). Their diverse sound ranges from punk to synthrock, and their elaborate costumes have included monsters, fantasy, and pierrot themes.
Other AnimeNEXT guests scheduled to make appearances include ghost-kei fashion brand turned rock band Sixh., the mega talented Vic Mignogna who voices Edward in Fullmetal Alchemist and sings the Dragonball Kai theme, Wendee Lee who voiced Faye Valentine in Cowboy Bebop, and Michele Knotz who voices Team Rocket’s Jessie in Pokémon along with Bill Rogers who voiced Brock.

AKB48's Short Support Video for Japan


Recently, twelve members of the popular girl group AKB48 put together a short support video for Japan. Its purpose is to raise awareness and money, all it takes is 1 minute and 38 seconds of your time.
The twelve members the video features are, Maeda Atsuko, Itano Tomomi, Miyazawa Sae, Ota Ayaka, Akimoto Sayaka, Watanabe Miku, Nakagawa Haruka, Umeda Ayaka, Kikuchi Ayaka, Masuda Yuka, Hirajima Natsumi, and Takahashi Minami.
In the video, all of the members present says “Ganbare Nippon!” or “Hang in there, Japan!.”
All of the money raised from advertisers will be donated to the victims of Tohoku's earthquake and tsunami. All of the donations will be collected by Shueisha Inc.

HK Artists to Donate Money to Japan and Yunnan

Certain fans on Weibo have been raising money for Japan and Yunnan, they have also urged some HK artists to help donating. A few of the artists that have promised to donate are, Joey Yung, Gillian Chung and Chrissie Chau.
Joey Yung commented that she will be the first to donate her share “Seeing the people suffering in these countries, I will not hesitate to donate, not only the 6000 dollars, but I will donate more”
Gillian Chung also supported the donation idea, Chrissie Chau said: “I will donate but it is not convenient to reveal how much.”
Others on Weibo expressed their will to donate money to Japan and Yunnan, they encourage others to do the same, both with spreading the word and donating.
Ivan Wang is planning to hold a charity event with other artists, models and singers. The Japanese singer Arashiro Beni, model Chikako Watanabe and an artwork personally signed from Chibi Maruko Chan will appear at a charity auction in Hong Kong.
